10 — FAQ
Questions

Have questions? We're here to help.

A few of the things prospective students most often ask us.

Can I join without previous interior design experience?
Absolutely. This course is built for complete beginners. You'll start with the fundamentals and progress step by step — by the end, you'll be designing full projects on your own.
Can this course help me start a career in interior design?
Yes — that's exactly why we built it. Here at GSID you'll learn the practical techniques, project workflows, and client-ready presentations that designers actually use, and you'll finish with a portfolio you can show. (Specific licensing or professional registration requirements vary by country, but the skills you build here travel with you.)
Will I work on real projects?
Yes — from your very first classes. You'll practice on real design challenges throughout the course and complete a signature project that brings everything you've learned into one professional presentation.
Do I need to know how to draw?
Not at all. You'll pick up simple sketching techniques to communicate your ideas, and the digital tools we teach do most of the visual heavy lifting for you.
What software will I learn?
You'll work with the tools designers rely on today: AI-assisted concept generation, Canva for mood boards, Floorplanner or Sweet Home 3D for space planning, SketchUp for 3D models, and DIALux evo for lighting. The final software list is confirmed before enrollment.
Will I receive personal feedback?
Yes — and it's one of the most valuable parts of the course. Every live class includes instructor feedback on your work and dedicated time to improve your projects. This is where the real growth happens.
Will I build a professional portfolio?
Yes — it's one of the main outcomes. You'll graduate with your signature project and a curated selection of your strongest work, ready to show to clients or employers.
Can I watch classes if I miss a live session?
Yes. Every class is recorded, so you can revisit lessons, review demonstrations, and practice at your own pace. Access terms are confirmed before enrollment.
What certificate will I receive?
You'll receive a certificate issued by The Global School of Interior Design together with Live University, accredited by ASIC (Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities).
